Dr. Stacey Tannenbaum is the Senior Director of Pharmacometrics, U.S. at Astellas Pharma. She leads a team of clinical pharmacologists, statisticians, engineers, and data management experts who help quantify drug, disease and trial information that aid in drug development and regulatory decisions.

Dr. Tannenbaum earned her Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Drug Development Science at Georgetown University. Prior to joining Astellas, she spent 8.5 years in the Modeling and Simulation group at Novartis. She currently holds faculty positions at the University of Arizona and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Dr. Tannenbaum has had a significant impact on the global Pharmacometrics community. She’s co-founded 3 organizations including the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP), the American Conference on Pharmacometrics (ACoP), and the networking group MoSAiC for Modeling and Simulation Applications in Clinical Pharmacotherapy. Her leadership legacy includes having served as ISoP’s first president, a board member for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and Executive Committee Chair for the World Conference on Pharmacometrics.
