Dr. Lu de Souza is the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Cerner Corporation. She heads their largest physician group and leads a team responsible for helping health organizations leverage their EHR and health IT to improve patient care, clinician engagement, and clinical outcomes.

Lu joined Cerner in 2011 and has held various leadership roles including Physician Executive, Senior Director, and Chief Medical Informatics Officer. Prior to this, she served as a Pediatric Emergency Physician at both Brandon Regional Hospital and Lakeland Regional Medical Center as well as Director of Pediatric Emergency for TeamHealth.

Lu received her Doctorate degree in Medicine from Wright State University and is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association. She is passionate about advancing healthcare information systems and applying learnings from different healthcare systems around the globe.
