Dr. Mary Lee Conicella is the Chief Dental Officer at Aetna, a CVS Health company. She leads a team of healthcare professionals that oversee dental clinical initiatives, policies and claim reviews. She is also responsible for creating programs that engage members and deliver superior health though integration.

Dr. Conicella joined Aetna in 1997 and has been involved with several programs including Aetna’s Dental-Medical Integration program where she has published numerous abstracts and articles related to the impact dental care has on overall health. She is a member of Aetna’s Clinical Executive Leadership Council and CVS/Aetna Enterprise-Wide Opioid Task Force, implementing innovative clinical initiatives that impact the opioid crisis.

Dr. Conicella received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.D.S) degree from Temple University’s School of Dentistry and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Prior to joining Aetna, she practiced general dentistry for over 15 years and spent many years on the clinical faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
