Dr. Steve Reinhart is an optometrist with over 30 years’ experience in military, medical and corporate leadership roles and 24 years of clinical optometric practice.  He is a professional speaker with the Alcon Speakers Bureau and recently retired from his position at Alcon as the Director of Professional Programs.

Dr. Reinhart is a retired colonel having served 28 years with the United States Air Force. His military career includes positions such as the Chief of Optometry services and Director of Optometry Extern programs. He led 6 medical squadrons and 2 medical groups, including 2 that were deployed after the attacks of 9/11.  During his command, he was responsible for the military and medical leadership of 550 physicians, optometrists, nurses, dentists, and pharmacists as well as 400 civilians and more than 1200 ancillary and support medical personnel.

Dr. Reinhart received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He graduated from the Interagency Institute for Federal Healthcare Executives at George Washington University and is an active member of several associations including the American Optometric Association and Armed Forces Optometric Society.
